Hey Mosquitoes,
This is going to be a short one. I seem to have run out of time in my days to get these notes typed. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and looking forward to the 4th of July celebration. This is it for notes before RAGBRAI, since it is only a couple of weeks away. If you haven't started training for it yet, you are now officially screwed. You might be able to help your liver get ready, but those legs need more than a couple of weeks.
The Mosquito ride was awesome! For those of you who didn't make it, well, you missed out on quite a time. I want to thank my parents for hosting us, even though they were several states away at the time. I know all had a great time. If anyone is interested, this coming weekend is the Mahoney's ride in Cedar Rapids. Yes that is a Sunday, but it is a great tune up for RAGBRAI. The Bud DJ is usually cranking tunes and there is lots of beer flowing. Let me know if you want to be around. Chris and I are looking for a babysitter and will be on it if possible.
I need another $75 from everyone whom is going the whole week. That will take care of the dues. Please, Please, Please, Please send this to me before the 16th of July. Don't bring it to the starting spot in IC. I won't be there to collect it and Klink will get really confused. By the way, the starting spot for the bus this year will be in Iowa City at the Walmart. The bus will take off from Walmart at 8:30 on Saturday July 21st. You can get to Walmart by taking Highway 218 south of Iowa City off of I-80 and you will go about 5 miles and take the Highway 1 exit. Turn left into Iowa City and it is a couple of miles on the right. You should be able to see the bus in the parking lot. If you are not there and ready to go by 8:30, you can kiss your ride good-bye. Klink and Beaver will be the ones in charge of getting everything ready, since I will be out of the state at that moment. Klink can be reached at 319-354-0878 if you have questions. They have never done this, so please help them and be good and on time. Without me there it could end up ugly. And let's try not to get any stitches this year! Klem doesn't want to spend several hours in the hospital again! We will be making a stop in Des Moines at Ron's house to get people (including Chris and I) from the Des Moines area. I haven't oked this with Ron yet, so it may not be set in stone, but you will hear if it changes.
Thanks and please get me the money, it will really help make things easier. Don't forget that the bus has new tires, so we shouldn't have a flat. Take care and we'll see you in a couple of weeksMacho Mosquito
